Three Easy Way to Lock Android 4G / LTE Signal - Today, almost all providers or mobile phone communication service providers, especially in Indonesia has launched 4G LTE based Internet Network some time ago. This network is capable of producing speeds of 100Mb per second up to 1Gb per second.

But in some places, 4G LTE-based internet signal is still less stable or often switch from 3G / 3.5G (H +) to 4G or vice versa. This happens because it is caused by several factors, including the tower position is far away, is in a closed room so that the phone is less getting the signal, the minimum signal emitted by BTS (Base Transceiver Station) or caused by other factors. If that happens, of course disrupt our activities while surfing the internet world and we can not enjoy the density of internet access through the 4G network. 

To overcome this, there are 3 ways we can do such as setting up through the settings menu, using the help of the application (rooted only) or enter a certain code via the dial pad (call board) phone.


1. Locking 4G Signal Through the Settings Menu

To do this, please open the " Settings / Settings / Settings " menu on your phone. Next look for " Mobile Networks ". Select " Network Mode " then select " Only 4G ". 

This method is very easy to do, but some people smart phone users still do not know this.

2. Locking 4G Signal Through Dial Pad

For this second method, simply open the " Phone " app then continue by following the steps below:
  1. Type this code * # * # 4636 # * # * or * # * # 3646633 # * # * on the dial pad on your phone.
  2. Automatically, you will be directed to the "Testing" menu
  3. Next select "Device Information"
  4. Scroll down and find "Set preferred network type" then select "LTE only"
  5. Go back or close the menu and wait a moment.
  6. Done.
If the above does not work (the test menu does not appear), then I suggest trying the third way. But this is required access " Root " because the additional applications that will be used requires a device that is "Rooted" and if the phone is not and you want to root it, please read tutorial  How to Root Samsung Galaxy J7 .

3. Using the Additional Application (Rooted Only)

Step # 1. Download the appAdvanced Signal Status , then run. 

Step # 2. After the application is open, scroll down, search and find " Additional Info", then tap or open. You will automatically be directed to the "Testing" menu. 

Step # 3. At this point, please select " Device Information . Scroll down and find" Set preferred network type "then select" LTE only "" 

Step # 4. Press back or close the menu and wait a moment. Substitution to 4G network, will automatically be done.

The third way above can also be applied to all types of android phones. However, with a note, which must be rooted condition and by using Advanced Signal Status app,
